Our Team

Stephanie Bernstein
Founder & CEO

Stephanie Bernstein founded To-Go Ware and Eyes of the Forest, Inc. in 2004. Stephanie has had a long history in the LOHAS community, working in sales & education for many great groundbreaking companies in the natural products market such as Guayaki Yerba Mate, Manitoba Harvest Hemp Foods & Pangea Organics Bodycare. Natural products & conscious consumerism were a natural extension of her pursuit in the healing arts-she has been a certified yoga instructor since 2001 and was a wellness chef for many years. Selling something that replenishes people and the planet seemed a great vehicle for Stephanie, and she was delighted to be the Rocky Mountain Regional Accounts Director for World of Good, a Fair Trade import company, taking artisan crafts to high-volume, mainstream channels of distribution. Stephanie actively participates in media, doing on-camera hosting of socially conscious television shows like Sourcecode on Free Speech TV and pledge drives for LinkTV. She has also written and modeled for magazines such as Alternative Medicine and Yoga Journal, and is currently featured doing yoga poses on 8 boxes of Yogi Tea.

Allison Falk
National Sales Manager

Allison comes to To-Go Ware with an exceptional working knowledge of the merchandise category in the natural products industry. She spent the last four years as the Northern California and then West Coast Sales Director at World of Good, a fair-trade lifestyle and company specializing in people and planet-positive gifts and accessories. Previously, Allison spent a year traveling in Asia, where she was exposed to the many varied processes and environments in which goods are produced for Western consumers. With a passion for fair trade and social justice, Allison is excited to offer her skills and experience to helping people learn about To-Go Ware's products and social commitment. Allison was also a Senior Web Producer and Marketing Strategist for Siebel Systems, Inc., and a Content Strategist for Scient. She graduated from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts.

Steph Alston
Sales & Special Projects Coordinator

Stephanie Alston is a long time environmental activist and "resourceress". She comes to To-Go Ware from the ecofashion industry and the Bay Area environmental movement. Stephanie has served as a fundraiser and organizer for international environmental justice issues for over 9 years and has worked with Amazon Watch, Rainforest Action Network, Oil Change International, the Brower Youth Awards and ForestEthics. In 2001, Stephanie co-founded the West Africa Rainforest Network to build international awareness and support for the protection of environmental and human rights of rural communities in West Africa. Originally from Texas (a sixth generation Texan!), Stephanie meandered her way to the West Coast by way of Alaska and Ann Arbor, MI where she worked for the U.S. EPA and Legal Aid Society. Stephanie now lives in San Francisco with her beloved husband, 6 month old perfect baby daughter, and Lucky Louis Lovehound, a Hurricane Katrina survivor.

Chris Cory
Warehouse & E-Commerce Manager

Chris Cory has been part of the To-Go Ware team since July 2007 when he moved from Boulder, Colorado to San Francisco. After graduating from the University of Denver in 2002, having studied sociology, biology and neuropsychology, he made a living as a dj playing hip-hop and down-tempo along with various odd jobs in Denver and Boulder. Chris was fortunate to have many exhilarating experiences as a dj opening up for dozens of world class hip-hop acts. In 2006 Chris decided to return to work full time and became part of the crew at Pangea Organics during the week and a drag busboy at the festive Bump & Grind cafe on weekends. He found that working for a sustainable company and being treated as a valued individual within a team provided him much more gratification than the "here's a mop" attitude within the fast food industry. In June of 2007 Chris moved to San Francisco for a change of pace and to experience a more vibrant and urban cultural center. He enjoys his work with To-Go Ware because it allows him to do something positive and incorporates his individual attributes into the business rather than demolishing them with the questionable values of a large-scale money driven business plan. Chris is currently gearing up for continuing his education in philosophy and has continued to develop as a dj and music producer as well as an employee.

Shannon Parks
Office Manager & Outreach

Shannon has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for the past 5 years, finally settling here after living all over the United States throughout her life. By far, Oakland is her favorite city in the US, where she now lives with her amazing husband and two sweet kitties. Shannon holds two degrees, a bachelor's of Religious Studies and a master's of Radical Social Theory. She has had the absolute privilege to work in various capacities side-by-side with some of the most amazing grassroots organizations throughout the country, including SAGE Council, Seva Foundation, Healthcare for the Homeless Harm Reduction Center, UNM African American Mentorship Program, Tibetan Aid Project, Oakland Institute, Circle of Life, Rainforest Action Network and San Francisco Women Against Rape. Additionally, through her professional experiences, she has intimate knowledge of fundraising, as well as anti-oppression and diversity issues. The sum of her educational and activist experiences has provided the foundation for her deep commitment to the larger progressive movement for human rights, gender, race, environmental and socio-economic justice. Currently, Shannon also lives her passion for meaningful change-making every day through her work as the coordinator of the Transformative Advocacy Exchange program at Women's Earth Alliance (WEA).

Rachel Shaw
Bookkeeper

Rachel has been bookkeeping for small businesses, non-profits, and individuals since 1994. A small non-profit retreat center introduced her to bookkeeping with ledger sheets, a pencil, and an adding machine. Two years later she moved to San Francisco and entered the wonderful world of Quickbooks and Excel spreadsheets. Rachel received a BFA in Dance from New York University and found bookkeeping to be a wonderful complement to her creative endeavors. In addition to dancing professionally in the Bay Area since 1997, Rachel is also a yoga teacher and massage therapist. She is happy to be working with the wonderful folks at To-Go Ware, helping to bring more awareness to sustainable modern living.
